Olympus Camedia E-10 Colin Leftley

The ESP metering of the E-10 was thrown by subjects with unusually dark tones. Here, switching to a centre-weighted approach and measuring from the centre of the shot gave a good result.

Highlight detail is well preserved by this Olympus. Here very subtle pink hues in these flowers have been well preserved without loss of shadow detail.

The auto white balance feature makes good judgements about ambient lighting quality. Here mixed daylight and warm tungsten roomlighting have yielded a pleasing portrait effect.

The lens built into the E-10 was a good performer and delivered high contrast, flare-free images even faced with demanding subjects.
