Max Earey has been a fulltime professional photographer for 3 years and spent the preceding seven years as, what he calls a 'semi-pro' building his stock and his experience. Max shoots with Canon gear and uses a couple of EOS1n bodies and an EOS1v, with a wide selection of lenses from 24mm to 600mm. Generally he shoots with prime lenses, although he does use one telephoto lens, a 28-70mm. Also in his camera bag are a Minolta light meter and he supports his equipment on a Manfrotto tripod or monopod. SHe is an avid sports photographer but concentrates on adventure sports, yachting and motor sports. His favourite location are Ho'okipa beach in Maui, Hawai which he describes as having the 'purest light'. He loves the travel that comes with the job but hates airport check-in. His ambition: 'To continue to make a living from a job that is not really a job'.
